Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aybar Bayezit, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nikita Gudkov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 13th minute of the match. Daniel Zorita's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nikita Gudkov read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 14th minute of play. Sevastyan Lemeshevskiy hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. 25 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Cristiano Levandovskiy came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The corner ended in Apostolikas Gaitanopoulos almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Ecuador's Julio Vera did a great save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dmitriy Cherep during the 27th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 27th minute, Dmitriy Cherep hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cristiano Levandovskiy could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nikita Gudkov having to interfere. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Unica FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Filipp Karyuhin didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 39 minutes, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian Sancho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 41st minute Sevastyan Lemeshevskiy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Sevastyan Lemeshevskiy came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Unica FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sevastyan Lemeshevskiy couldn't finish the play. In the 46th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nikita Gudkov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

But to his dismay, Cristiano Levandovskiy quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. In the 88th minute, Cristiano Levandovskiy got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 90th minute Aybar Bayezit shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 93 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Yaromir Sharapov came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aybar Bayezit in the 97th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
