Lobos de Carelia's Nestor Cortez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save Lobos de Carelia from getting a goal against them. Knut Rudberg could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Nestor Cortez made a huge save. Nestor Cortez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chen Ao Fan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Viktor Pettersson had in the 28thth minute some difficulties stopping Xu Ran Zhen's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 28th minute, Xu Ran Zhen left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Lobos de Carelia fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Viktor Pettersson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pavao Zadro in the 30th minute of play. Egídio Fernandez kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. In the 33rd minute, Pavao Zadro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Viktor Pettersson was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Pavao Zadro was the one to do the kick off.
