The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Telmo Trigo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wilian Carioca in the 2nd minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Tião Castro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Telmo Trigo was relentless in the 4th minute of the game. 5 minutes into the match, A.A. Francana's goal looked a bit too open when Jeferson Couto came free, but Telmo Trigo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 7th match minute, COURO COME FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rubinho Tavares to maneuver through the defense. After 9 played minutes A.A. Francana got a freekick which was hit by Armandinho Vergílio. Telmo Trigo came out of the goal in the 10th minute to try and stop a shot by COURO COME FC's Jeferson Couto. But to his dismay, Jeferson Couto quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 17 minutes into the match, COURO COME FC's Jeferson Couto sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Telmo Trigo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. COURO COME FC's Tião Castro got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bebeto Vaz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Válbson Soeiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Rubinho Tavares managed to get in a good position for a shot. COURO COME FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Rubinho Tavares was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Telmo Trigo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 24 minutes, Lenílson Lago mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the COURO COME FC and the A.A. Francana players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 26th minute, João Adolfo Leite reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Bebeto Vaz. The goal made the score 1-1. Telmo Trigo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jeferson Couto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that João Adolfo Leite's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bebeto Vaz was relentless in the 37th minute of the game. The A.A. Francana fans' excitement grew in the 37th match minute when A.A. Francana's João Adolfo Leite looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Válbson Soeiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when João Adolfo Leite stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute João Adolfo Leite shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bebeto Vaz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 53rd match minute, COURO COME FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tião Castro to maneuver through the defense. Bebeto Vaz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Válbson Soeiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Cido Vinhas scored 4-1 in the 59th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bebeto Vaz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Telmo Trigo made a fantastic save in the 80th minute, when Tião Castro sent off a good shot on target. Bebeto Vaz came out of the goal in the 81st minute to try and stop a shot by A.A. Francana's João Adolfo Leite. But to his dismay, João Adolfo Leite quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-1. 93 minutes into the match, Armandinho Vergílio had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bebeto Vaz. COURO COME FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Armandinho Vergílio was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 7-1. There was no doubt that A.A. Francana were the better team. A.A. Francana's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
