Elias Damasceno ran back to his position shaking his head. With a little luck, A.A. Francana's Telmo Trigo got control of the ball when Elias Damasceno tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 20th minute of the match 卡納里尼奧 FC got a corner. A.A. Francana's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Abel Vidal ran over to the corner to take the kick. 卡納里尼奧 FC's Abel Vidal was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Telmo Trigo in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 23 minutes into the match, Agostinho Guedes notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of A.A. Francana's Telmo Trigo. Telmo Trigo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a rather tough play, 卡納里尼奧 FC's Sidnei Dionísio got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Telmo Trigo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Elias Damasceno in the 39th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Elias Damasceno got free with Telmo Trigo in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. João Vítor Guimarães took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Válbson Soeiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 47 minutes into the match, Elias Damasceno had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Telmo Trigo. A.A. Francana's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Elias Damasceno was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. João Adolfo Leite was the one to do the kick off. In the 56th match minute, 卡納里尼奧 FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Célio Albuquerque to maneuver through the defense. A.A. Francana's Telmo Trigo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elias Damasceno in the 59th minute of play. 60 minutes into the match, A.A. Francana's goal looked a bit too open when Agostinho Guedes came free, but Telmo Trigo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Telmo Trigo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elias Damasceno in the 63rd minute of the match. Cido Vinhas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 卡納里尼奧 FC made a substitution. Severino da Cunha replaced Sidnei Dionísio. 卡納里尼奧 FC's Armandinho Pombal was substituted for Régis Vides. When the match had gone on for 84 minutes, Elias Damasceno put it in 5-0 from a short distance just to the right of Telmo Trigo. The audience was convinced that Elias Damasceno's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Telmo Trigo was relentless in the 88th minute of the game. With an all-out effort, A.A. Francana's João Vítor Guimarães threw himself towards the right post 92 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from João Adolfo Leite, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The 卡納里尼奧 FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while A.A. Francana had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
