The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 24th minute of the game. One of Figueira SC FSCMZ:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Borussia Dortmund MZB:s goal. The goalkeeper, Marcelo Medeiros, was totally fooled by Borussia Dortmund MZB's Matheus Savioli, who 26 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. If Renan Veiga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Figueira SC FSCMZ's Marcelo Medeiros proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save Figueira SC FSCMZ from getting a goal against them. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Pedro Britto during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Matheus Savioli was the one to do the kick off.
