In the 12th minute, Tomas Berganza reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Reynaldo Pimenta. The goal made the score 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Berganza in the 20th minute of play forced A.D Garotos do Vale's goalkeeper Reynaldo Pimenta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 38 minutes, Tomas Berganza took a quick shot and it went in 6-0 without a chance for Reynaldo Pimenta to make any attempt to save it. In the 43rd minute, Panama's Isidoro Sarmiento dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 7-0. After 46 minutes of play, Panama's Tomas Berganza made it 8-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Reynaldo Pimenta was left in no man's land by his defense there! The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 8-0.

Reynaldo Pimenta made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 11-0. Tomas Berganza scored 12-0 in the 79th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Reynaldo Pimenta, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 84th minute Alex Cambeiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Reynaldo Pimenta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 89th minute, Tomas Berganza made a precise shot to the right of Reynaldo Pimenta. A.D Garotos do Vale's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 14-0. Reynaldo Pimenta didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Isidoro Sarmiento went, in the 92nd minute, to the upper right corner, 15-0 was the resulting score. 98 minutes into the game, Panama's Tomas Berganza nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Reynaldo Pimenta made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 16-0. There was no doubt that Panama were the better team. Panama's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
