Al-Ahli's Clud Almagro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eliseo Noboa in the 22nd minute of play. 23 minutes had been played when some careless play by Al-Ahli's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Axel Tasis was slow to take the kick. During this time Costa Rica's players had a chance to rest. Clud Almagro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eliseo Noboa in the 25th minute of play. 29 minutes into the match, Al-Ahli's goal looked a bit too open when Axel Tasis came free, but Clud Almagro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eliseo Noboa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Axel Tasis made a kick off. In the 53rd minute Axel Tasis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Clud Almagro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 57th minute Falah Al Bloshi suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. 57 minutes into the game, Axel Tasis was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Costa Rica's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Al-Ahli the free kick. Al-Ahli made a substitution. Faisal Al Sohali replaced Falah Al Bloshi. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Axel Tasis got a free kick in the 59th minute. In the 59th minute of the match 최 마 shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Benito Sanz showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 61 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Lautaro Puig. 62 minutes into the match, Matey Dachevski had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Matey Dachevski was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Matey Dachevski in the 67th minute of the match. Clud Almagro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Axel Tasis, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. 70 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Matey Dachevski came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Matey Dachevski's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Benito Sanz was relentless in the 71st minute of the game. 73 minutes into the game, Mamdouh Hayat cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Benito Sanz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Benito Sanz came out of the goal in the 78th minute to try and stop a shot by Al-Ahli's Matey Dachevski. But to his dismay, Matey Dachevski quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Matey Dachevski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Al-Ahli's Matey Dachevski got a free kick in the 83rd minute. In the 86th minute, Matey Dachevski made a precise shot to the right of Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-0. Matey Dachevski struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Benito Sanz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Al-Ahli.
