The crowd rose to their feet as Daniel Zorita kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Nistor Pantelimon. That made the score 1-0 in the 4 minute of play. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Nistor Pantelimon came out and tried to block the shot, but Daniel Zorita slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 7th minute. With his leg Nistor Pantelimon managed to avoid a goal in the 11thth minute, when Ecuador's Daniel Zorita fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Yellow Flag's Nistor Pantelimon proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save Yellow Flag from getting a goal against them. Through an outstanding action, after 13 minutes, Nistor Pantelimon successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After 15 minutes Yellow Flag's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. It was a well-played corner which Luis Andino managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Primitivo Andino kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Cristian Sancho who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 19thth minute tested the skills of Nistor Pantelimon when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Yellow Flag's defense didn't have a chance, in the 23rd minute, when Cristian Sancho scored to the left of an out of position Nistor Pantelimon, making the score, 3-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luis Andino in the 33rd minute of play forced Yellow Flag's goalkeeper Nistor Pantelimon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 34th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. Yellow Flag's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. A hard shot 37 in the game by Felix Montenegro from a close distance when the talented Nistor Pantelimon managed to make a qualified save. Yellow Flag's players were relieved. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gelu Ogășanu in the 39th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Felix Montenegro during the 42nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Yellow Flag booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felix Montenegro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 46th minute. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Nistor Pantelimon in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 48th match minute, Yellow Flag was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mihnea Druga to maneuver through the defense. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.
The wind increased when Gelu Ogășanu made the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute Baba Alba shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Camilo Gisbert got a free kick in the 58th minute. 59 minutes into the match, Yellow Flag's Baba Alba sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 60th minute, Mihnea Druga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Agustín Saelices had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nistor Pantelimon having to interfere. Narcis Obreja hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. After 71 played minutes Yellow Flag got a freekick which was hit by Irinel Oanță. 71 minutes into the match, Yellow Flag's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Nistor Pantelimon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Camilo Gisbert hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. In the 75th minute, Damian Chiliman sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Ecuador's Julio Vera didn't even have to move. In the 78th match minute, Yellow Flag was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by George Mironov to maneuver through the defense. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luis Andino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nistor Pantelimon having to interfere. 89 minutes into the match, Yellow Flag's goal looked a bit too open when Luis Andino came free, but Nistor Pantelimon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 97 minutes, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian Sancho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. There was no doubt that Ecuador were the better team. Ecuador's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
