Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Joel Gaona started the match with the kick off. In the 8th minute, Julien Steuble hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mexico's Alberto Tafalla got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 21 minutes into the match, Falckner FC's goal looked a bit too open when Lautaro Mancebo came free, but Anastasio Maldonado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Mexico booed when Falckner FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Julien Steuble didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 23rd minute of the match Joel Gaona shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Anastasio Maldonado showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alberto Tafalla in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Anastasio Maldonado prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Dante Lacasa made a fantastic save in the 27th minute, when Gianluca Vialli sent off a good shot on target. In the 31st minute Joel Gaona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anastasio Maldonado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 35 minutes into the match, Joel Gaona had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Anastasio Maldonado. Falckner FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Joel Gaona was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. When Gianluca Vialli came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Falckner FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gianluca Vialli couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Joel Gaona managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mexico's supporters rose to their feet, but Joel Gaona was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Anastasio Maldonado breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Falckner FC's Gao Yuan Zhen got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Gianluca Vialli fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dante Lacasa having to interfere. The Falckner FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Mexico were winning 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gianluca Vialli to make the kick off. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gianluca Vialli in the 53rd minute of play. Lautaro Mancebo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anastasio Maldonado having to interfere. A collision led to Falckner FC getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Andres Maiorga hit a great ball. 58 minutes into the match, Joel Gaona notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Falckner FC's Anastasio Maldonado. Anastasio Maldonado was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Lautaro Mancebo came free with the goalkeeper in the 62nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Anastasio Maldonado could save by the left post. Anastasio Maldonado came out of the goal in the 65th minute to try and stop a shot by Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo. But to his dismay, Lautaro Mancebo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. 68 minutes into the match, Falckner FC's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Tafalla came free, but Anastasio Maldonado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 69th minute of the match Mexico got a corner. Falckner FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Joel Gaona ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 70th minute, Mexico's Joel Gaona dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-4. Jose Baldovino took the ball and in the 73 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dante Lacasa. Dante Lacasa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-4. Anastasio Maldonado made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Lautaro Mancebo sent off a good shot on target. In the 78th minute of the match, Lautaro Mancebo got a very nice opportunity to score, but Anastasio Maldonado was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. If Joel Gaona had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 88th match minute, Mexico was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alberto Tafalla to maneuver through the defense. In the 92nd match minute, Mexico was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leonardo Leoz to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Falckner FC getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Gaspar Baraquiel hit a great ball. Mexico's supporters stood up full of expectation in the 98th minute of the game, when Joel Gaona after an extraordinary solo performance found himself with a golden opportunity in front of Falckner FC's goal. Joel Gaona was unfortunally a little to anxious and the ball went outside the goal. The Falckner FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Mexico were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
