The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Aurelio Lehen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. Through an outstanding action, after 8 minutes, Dante Lacasa successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. FUF F.C's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Joel Gaona ran over to the corner to take the kick.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lautaro Mancebo to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, FUF F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Tafalla came free, but Aurelio Lehen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A sloppy throw-in by Macos Graciani in the 55th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by FUF F.C's Simon Phillips. Aurelio Lehen was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Alberto Tafalla showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 59 minute of play. FUF F.C's Momo Sampler was substituted for Sergio Bihar. FUF F.C's Maciej Jus was substituted for Valentino Ricci. Lautaro Mancebo who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 66thth minute tested the skills of Aurelio Lehen when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 68th match minute, FUF F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jonatan Miro to maneuver through the defense. After 71 played minutes Mexico got a freekick which was hit by Macos Graciani. Leonardo Leoz made in the 76th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by FUF F.C's Baldomero Loco. 78 minutes into the game, Lautaro Mancebo threw the ball into play from the sideline. FUF F.C's Morjan Al Ateqi quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. After 80 played minutes FUF F.C got a freekick which was hit by Momo Sampler. Atabek Ula fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dante Lacasa having to interfere. Momo Sampler blasted a shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dante Lacasa having to make a save. 92 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Momo Sampler came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Mexico players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
