The Mexico fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Bizi Quemada made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lautaro Mancebo in the 12th minute of play. In the 13th minute Alberto Tafalla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bizi Quemada saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Facundo Cadaval had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 21 minutes into the match, ㄥ卂 ㄒ卂乃ㄥ卂ᗪ卂's goal looked a bit too open when Lautaro Mancebo came free, but Bizi Quemada reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Socorro Terron, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bizi Quemada showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Gaona, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Guilherme Basso in the 39th minute of the match. Joel Gaona received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Bizi Quemada tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 46 minutes into the match, Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Guilherme Basso. After the first half Mexico were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

A collision led to ㄥ卂 ㄒ卂乃ㄥ卂ᗪ卂 getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Guilherme Basso hit a great ball. Through an outstanding action, after 57 minutes, Bizi Quemada successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 64 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Socorro Terron came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bizi Quemada made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 67th minute. 67 minutes into the game, Alberto Tafalla recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Bizi Quemada. Alberto Tafalla showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. ㄥ卂 ㄒ卂乃ㄥ卂ᗪ卂 made a substitution. Tõnu Vilba replaced Silvestre Flor. After having played for 76 minutes, Alberto Tafalla managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mexico's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alberto Tafalla was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 79 minutes Mexico's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Iratxo Barra who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Iratxo Barra got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Dante Lacasa quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The audience was convinced that Guilherme Basso's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dante Lacasa was relentless in the 81st minute of the game. The supporters of ㄥ卂 ㄒ卂乃ㄥ卂ᗪ卂 booed when Mexico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Facundo Cadaval didn't get a good kick on the ball. ㄥ卂 ㄒ卂乃ㄥ卂ᗪ卂's Bizi Quemada proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to save ㄥ卂 ㄒ卂乃ㄥ卂ᗪ卂 from getting a goal against them. Göktan Akıncıbey hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. After 93 played minutes ㄥ卂 ㄒ卂乃ㄥ卂ᗪ卂 got a freekick which was hit by Diego Polenta. A hard shot by Joel Gaona from long distance, 94 minutes into the match, got Bizi Quemada's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. When the match was over Mexico could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than ㄥ卂 ㄒ卂乃ㄥ卂ᗪ卂 throughout the match.
