Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Ecuador's Daniel Zorita started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Polan Września's Barnaba Wydrych played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 4th minute of play. Cristian Sancho took the ball and in the 9 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Barnaba Wydrych. Barnaba Wydrych dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Barnaba Wydrych having to interfere. Barnaba Wydrych made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 16th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Daniel Zorita in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Barnaba Wydrych saved Polan Września from getting behind. Barnaba Wydrych came out of the goal in the 27th minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Cristian Sancho. But to his dismay, Cristian Sancho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. 41 minutes into the match, Polan Września's Marek Kasprzykowski sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Herbert Arbaszewski charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Herbert Arbaszewski the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Polan Września was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Herbert Arbaszewski didn't get a good kick on the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Rafal Kaczanka made the kick off in the second half. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marek Kasprzykowski, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. When Polan Września's Ksawery Sawicki in the 58th minute got a chance for a shot 58th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ecuador's goalie prevented a goal. Rafal Kaczanka received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 63rd minute Iwo Moczkiewicz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Juan Sebastián Puig was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 65 minutes into the match. In the 64th minute, one of Ecuador:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Ecuador. When Witomir Starogardzki fell near the penalty area in the 68th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Polan Września's protests and gave Witomir Starogardzki a yellow card for diving instead. In the 68th match minute, Polan Września was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Witomir Starogardzki to maneuver through the defense. 71 minutes had been played when some careless play by Polan Września's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Daniel Zorita almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Polan Września's Barnaba Wydrych did a great save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ksawery Sawicki in the 73rd minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rafal Kaczanka in the 74th minute of play. 80 minutes into the game, Agustín Saelices was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ecuador's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Polan Września the free kick. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Agustín Saelices hit a great ball. Polan Września's Zenon Niziolek was substituted for Iwo Moczkiewicz. After 84 minutes Ecuador's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Herbert Arbaszewski who took care of the corner kick. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rafal Kaczanka's shot from short distance in the 90th minute. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ksawery Sawicki in the 91st minute of play. After having played for 93 minutes, Rafal Kaczanka managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Polan Września's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rafal Kaczanka was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ecuador were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
