The audience thought a goal was coming when Diego Frasquito got free with Julio Vera in the 3rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Angel Guillelmus kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Diego Frasquito in the 6th minute of the match. Olaf Modliszewski hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 8th minute of play forced Venezia FC's goalkeeper Roberto Abbondanzieri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Angel Guillelmus in the 10th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felix Montenegro in the 14th minute of play forced Venezia FC's goalkeeper Roberto Abbondanzieri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Roberto Abbondanzieri made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 16th minute of play. Julio Vera came out of the goal in the 26th minute to try and stop a shot by Venezia FC's Diego Frasquito. But to his dismay, Diego Frasquito quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Diego Frasquito struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Julio Vera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Venezia FC. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Desiderio Salvadore, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Diego Frasquito in the 43rd minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.
The wind increased when Daniel Zorita made the kick off in the second half. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Diego Frasquito, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Roberto Abbondanzieri made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristian Sancho in the 60th minute. In the 61st match minute, Venezia FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Angel Quinito to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho got a free kick in the 65th minute. 70 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Diego Frasquito came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Thibau Van Mellaert came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Venezia FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Thibau Van Mellaert couldn't finish the play. If Thibau Van Mellaert had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Desiderio Salvadore came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Venezia FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Desiderio Salvadore couldn't finish the play. Luis Andino charged in rather forcefully in the 83rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luis Andino the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 83rd match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luis Andino to maneuver through the defense. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Diego Frasquito in the 88th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 89 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Daniel Zorita. A collision led to Venezia FC getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. 杜彬远 hit a great ball. In the 96th minute, Diego Frasquito ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Julio Vera was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Venezia FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Ecuador had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
