An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 21st minute of play forced Büyükada Commandos's goalkeeper Alperen Bozkurt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ahmet İlhan Sedat received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Dante Lacasa came out and tried to block the shot, but Ahmet İlhan Sedat slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 22nd minute. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tony Montana, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 41 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Pedro Luís Peixoto came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luca Rouco's late challenge caught a Büyükada Commandos's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
