Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) Australian Youth Academy's Garth Brough started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After having played for 3 minutes, Garth Brough managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Australian Youth Academy's supporters crossed their fingers, but Garth Brough was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 15th minute, Garth Brough reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Joaquin Gayoso. The goal made the score 2-0. Joaquin Gayoso was out of position in the 25 minute of play, and Garth Brough capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Garth Brough really showed his touch with that goal: 4-0. Jason Butterfield kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. Joaquin Gayoso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ellis Hoskin in the 37th minute of the match. 39 minutes into the match, Australian Youth Academy's goal looked a bit too open when Francisco Seco came free, but Keylor Navas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Australian Youth Academy's Boyd Allan got a free kick in the 41st minute. Keylor Navas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jaime Cazalla, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. Francisco Seco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Keylor Navas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 5-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Francisco Seco to make the kick off. Keylor Navas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Maximiliano Escribano in the 52nd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Garth Brough managed to get in a good position for a shot. Australian Youth Academy's supporters rose to their feet, but Garth Brough was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joaquin Gayoso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Garth Brough in the 61st minute of play. Francisco Seco succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 6-1 in the 63rd playminute. After some careless play in the Uruguay defense, Garth Brough kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Joaquin Gayoso. The Uruguay fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Joaquin Gayoso should have stopped the shot. Joaquin Gayoso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ellis Hoskin in the 84th minute of the match. Jorge Sainz made in the 85th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Camilo Franco however managed to control. After some careless play in the Uruguay defense, Garth Brough kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Joaquin Gayoso. The Uruguay fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Joaquin Gayoso should have stopped the shot. For all the effort they put into the match, the Uruguay players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Australian Youth Academy.
