Robustiano Etxahun came out of the goal and Daniel Zorita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Juan Sebastián Puig hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. In the 36th minute, Victorio Oinaz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rodolfo Schneebeli received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. But to his dismay, Cristian Sancho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Bravecto's Juan Nazario got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Zorita was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Robustiano Etxahun breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 94th minute of play forced Bravecto's goalkeeper Robustiano Etxahun to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bravecto's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
