Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Inter Miami CF's Blas Urtungo started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After some fancy dribbling in the 4th minute, Alberto Tafalla managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mexico's supporters rose to their feet, but Alberto Tafalla was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Teo Pacorro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Teo Pacorro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Gaona in the 5th minute of play. Dante Lacasa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Blas Urtungo in the 8th minute. After 10 minutes of play, Mexico's Facundo Cadaval made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Teo Pacorro was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 13th minute Juan Raúl Riquelme shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Teo Pacorro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Gaona, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Mexico's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Blas Urtungo 19 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Juan Raúl Riquelme in the 25th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mexico's Dante Lacasa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save Mexico from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Mexico booed when Inter Miami CF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Danilo Illart didn't get a good kick on the ball. 32 minutes into the match, Inter Miami CF's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Tafalla came free, but Teo Pacorro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A throw-in in the 34th minute of the game was made by Danilo Illart with Astor Lertxun as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Everardo Enmanuel hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Blas Urtungo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Teo Pacorro came out of the goal in the 44th minute to try and stop a shot by Mexico's Alberto Tafalla. But to his dismay, Alberto Tafalla quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Astor Lertxun hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Teo Pacorro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Facundo Cadaval in the 67th minute of the match. Teo Pacorro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 68th minute. Everardo Enmanuel hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. After 75 played minutes Mexico got a freekick which was hit by Felix Luque. An unexpectedly hard shot by Amado Muc in the 77th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Inter Miami CF's Amado Muc in the 77th minute got a chance for a shot 77th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Mexico's goalie prevented a goal. Teo Pacorro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Gaona in the 84th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Inter Miami CF's zone, Joel Gaona stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Teo Pacorro came out of the goal and Joel Gaona tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 90 minutes, Joel Gaona managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mexico's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joel Gaona was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 94th minute, Joel Gaona left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mexico fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-4.
