Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Trabzonspor's Alejo Otsando started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Maximiliano Escribano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 2nd minute. Yunus Civan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Alejo Otsando kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Joaquin Gayoso. That made the score 1-0 in the 7 minute of play. Yunus Civan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maximiliano Escribano, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. 25 minutes into the match, Trabzonspor's goal looked a bit too open when Maximiliano Escribano came free, but Yunus Civan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Trabzonspor's Alejo Otsando in the 29th minute got a chance for a shot 29th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Uruguay's goalie prevented a goal. Joaquin Gayoso was a little too slow when Alejo Otsando got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 31st minute. The score was now 2-0. 35 minutes into the game, Francisco Seco cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Yunus Civan was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Alejo Otsando might have been able to make a better finish in the 40th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Joaquin Gayoso. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alejo Otsando ran back to his position shaking his head. Yunus Civan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Francisco Seco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Joaquin Gayoso made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Alejo Otsando sent off a good shot on target. When Alejo Otsando came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Trabzonspor fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alejo Otsando couldn't finish the play. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Francisco Seco to make the kick off. 56 minutes into the match, Trabzonspor's goal looked a bit too open when Maximiliano Escribano came free, but Yunus Civan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Joaquin Gayoso came out of the goal in the 62nd minute to try and stop a shot by Trabzonspor's Alejo Otsando. But to his dismay, Alejo Otsando quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. Yunus Civan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Francisco Seco in the 66th minute of play. Francisco Seco could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Yunus Civan made a huge save. Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ataman Kutun in the 67th minute of play. Alejo Otsando recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Trabzonspor made a substitution. Raşit Timuroz replaced Alejo Otsando. Trabzonspor made a substitution. Vacid Oğuzata replaced Lucio Claus. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Raşit Timuroz in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Joaquin Gayoso saved Uruguay from getting behind. 84 minutes into the match, Uruguay's goal looked a bit too open when Raşit Timuroz came free, but Joaquin Gayoso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ivo Waard hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. Jaime Cazalla's shot from long distance in the 89th minute was not bad at all, but Trabzonspor's Yunus Civan knew what was happening and pushed the ball into his arms just before it hit the right post. After a rather tough play, Trabzonspor's Kutluay Özcan got a free kick in the 90th minute. Yunus Civan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jaime Cazalla in the 91st minute. When the match clock showed 93 minutes, the score became 5-1 when Raşit Timuroz sped through Uruguay's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Joaquin Gayoso. Trabzonspor's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
