Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Anatoly Karpov got the match started through his kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Anatoly Karpov got free with Julio Vera in the 3rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Niki Kalkandzhiev showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. In the 15th minute, Anatoly Karpov ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Julio Vera was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. 19 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ecuador's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Simo Lishkov was slow to take the kick. During this time Джуджан's players had a chance to rest. In the 34th minute, Daniel Zorita ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Niki Kalkandzhiev was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. In the 38th minute, Svetlin Darakchiev hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 39th minute of the match Daniel Zorita sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Niki Kalkandzhiev skillfully saved the ball. Daniel Zorita in the 58thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Niki Kalkandzhiev, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Anatoly Karpov took the ball and in the 87 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Julio Vera. Julio Vera dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Juan Sebastián Puig hit a great ball. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anatoly Karpov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Ecuador players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
