Lautaro Navarro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lisa Simpson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ivan Navarro hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. A collision led to Honduras getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Moises Tafalla hit a great ball. With 8 minutes on the clock, Dinei Lara commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After 9 played minutes Santos da Bahia Fc got a freekick which was hit by Dinei Lara. In the 17thth minute of the game Adilson Mazza who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Honduras's Lautaro Navarro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 19 minutes into the game, Minh Banana cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Lautaro Navarro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With an all-out effort, Honduras's Jacinto Aparecido threw himself towards the right post 21 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Sebastian Villa, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Lautaro Navarro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Valdemar Pena, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. After 25 minutes, Lisa Simpson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Santos da Bahia Fc and the Honduras players grew even worse after the yellow card. Lisa Simpson hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Valdemar Pena managed to get in a good position for a shot. Santos da Bahia Fc's supporters rose to their feet, but Valdemar Pena was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lautaro Navarro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jacinto Aparecido showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edmundo Espiga, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. In the 33rd minute, Valdemar Pena got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Artur Valle in the 34th minute of play forced Honduras's goalkeeper Lautaro Navarro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 35 minutes had been played when some careless play by Honduras's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Valdemar Pena was slow to take the kick. During this time Santos da Bahia Fc's players had a chance to rest. It was a well-played corner which André Albuquerque managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. After 36 minutes, André Albuquerque mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Santos da Bahia Fc and the Honduras players grew even worse after the yellow card. 38 minutes into the game, Geovani Linares threw the ball into play from the sideline. Honduras's Christian Sancho quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Santos da Bahia Fc's Jacinto Aparecido played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sebastian Villa in the 40th minute of play. Minh Banana fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lautaro Navarro having to interfere.

The wind increased when Adilson Mazza made the kick off in the second half. Honduras's Lautaro Navarro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Minh Banana in the 53rd minute of play. In the 54th minute Sebastian Villa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacinto Aparecido saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 56 played minutes Honduras got a freekick which was hit by Luca Espinar. In the 71st minute, Moises Tafalla got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jacinto Aparecido showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edmundo Espiga, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. In the 74th minute, Edmundo Espiga ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jacinto Aparecido was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. After 79 played minutes Santos da Bahia Fc got a freekick which was hit by Lisa Simpson. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Edmundo Espiga managed to get in a good position for a shot. Honduras's supporters rose to their feet, but Edmundo Espiga was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jacinto Aparecido breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 86 minutes into the game, Honduras's Sebastian Villa nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jacinto Aparecido made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1. Milagros Cabal kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. In the 90th match minute, Santos da Bahia Fc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Geovani Linares to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Honduras's zone, Minh Banana stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lautaro Navarro came out of the goal and Minh Banana tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
