Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Tomas Berganza started the match with the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Isidoro Sarmiento got free with Jacinto Aparecido in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 10th minute, Abraham Alguacil got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 14th minute, Isidoro Sarmiento ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jacinto Aparecido was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. When Dinei Lara fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Santos da Bahia Fc's protests and gave Dinei Lara a yellow card for diving instead. In the 17th match minute, Santos da Bahia Fc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dinei Lara to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Santos da Bahia Fc booed when Panama was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alex Cambeiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bala Mole's late challenge caught a Panama's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bala Mole helped the player get up and apologised. Bala Mole hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Jacinto Aparecido made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isidoro Sarmiento in the 32nd minute of play. The corner led Panama's Matthew Garrido to fire away a dangerous shot which Jacinto Aparecido despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Isidoro Sarmiento in the 47th minute of play forced Santos da Bahia Fc's goalkeeper Jacinto Aparecido to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Adilson Mazza stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jacinto Aparecido tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 76 minutes into the game, Abraham Alguacil was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Panama's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Santos da Bahia Fc the free kick. A collision led to Panama getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Abraham Alguacil hit a great ball. In the 78th minute the ball was on its way in behind Santos da Bahia Fc's goalkeeper Jacinto Aparecido, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Tomas Berganza kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. Jacinto Aparecido took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Berganza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jacinto Aparecido showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Isidoro Sarmiento in the 87th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Valdemar Pena got free with Marcos Cotilla in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 92nd minute Abraham Alguacil shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacinto Aparecido saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Minh Banana fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcos Cotilla having to interfere. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Panama had played much better football throughout.
