The tension between the Honduras and the Santos da Bahia Fc players grew even worse after the yellow card. Lisa Simpson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Lautaro Navarro made a huge save. Santos da Bahia Fc's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Bala Mole kicked well hit freekick during the 48th minute of the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Edmundo Espiga made a kick off. In the 52nd match minute, Honduras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luca Espinar to maneuver through the defense. Artur Valle recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Adilson Mazza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Honduras's Esteban Carvallo managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Bala Mole in the 68 minute of the game. When Valdemar Pena fell near the penalty area in the 70th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Santos da Bahia Fc's protests and gave Valdemar Pena a yellow card for diving instead. Edmundo Espiga's late challenge caught a Santos da Bahia Fc's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Edmundo Espiga helped the player get up and apologised. In the 78th match minute, Santos da Bahia Fc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lisa Simpson to maneuver through the defense. Honduras's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Santos da Bahia Fc had won, even though Honduras had held more of the ball.
