Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Joel Gaona took the kick off in the first half of the match. 3 minutes into the match, Cuchilla FC's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but Fernando Segio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Isaias Cresitobalo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 4th minute of the match, but Dante Lacasa made a huge save. Lautaro Mancebo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Cuchilla FC's zone, Luca Zorita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fernando Segio came out of the goal and Luca Zorita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anacleto Ibon in the 16th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 17th minute Isaias Cresitobalo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Lautaro Mancebo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 25 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Isaias Cresitobalo came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 26 minutes, Isaias Cresitobalo made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Mexico's Dante Lacasa tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 29th minute, Lautaro Mancebo made a precise shot to the right of Fernando Segio. Cuchilla FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. The audience was convinced that Alberto Tafalla's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fernando Segio was relentless in the 32nd minute of the game. Lautaro Mancebo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Miguel Ángel Hoefler hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Cuchilla FC's Bernardino Normando was substituted for Valdir Vale. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Isaias Cresitobalo was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Gaona in the 53rd minute of play forced Cuchilla FC's goalkeeper Fernando Segio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 54th minute of the match, Joel Gaona tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Fernando Segio saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Michel Salgado kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. In the 62nd minute Joel Gaona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernando Segio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Through an outstanding action, after 63 minutes, Fernando Segio successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anacleto Ibon in the 67th minute of play. Fernando Segio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 71st minute. Fernando Segio was a little too slow when Alberto Tafalla got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 77th minute. The score was now 1-4. Joel Gaona received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Fernando Segio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fernando Segio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Gaona, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. A collision led to Cuchilla FC getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Michel Salgado hit a great ball. If Alberto Tafalla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Isaias Cresitobalo in the 93rd minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Cuchilla FC's Fernando Segio got control of the ball when Lautaro Mancebo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Fernando Segio didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alberto Tafalla went, in the 97th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-5 was the resulting score. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Mexico walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
