Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Mariano Lacasa got the match started through his kick off. During this time Chile's players had a chance to rest. A collision led to Menchu FC getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Caetano Linhares hit a great ball. Peter Söderqwist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thiago Pliego having to interfere. After 37 minutes, Gabriele Batistuta made it 1-2 with a short kick to the right side. Chile's Thiago Pliego tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. A sloppy throw-in by Felix Garrido in the 44th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Menchu FC's Armando Roland. After having played for 45 minutes, Gabriele Batistuta managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Menchu FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gabriele Batistuta was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 47th minute Mariano Lacasa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Camilo Salvidor saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

After 90 minutes, Francisco Carballar mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Chile and the Menchu FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 93 played minutes Mariano Lacasa rounded Menchu FC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-3. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Chile walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
