Dacian Ghițescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 21st minute of the match. PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's Dacian Ghițescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Agustín Saelices in the 25th minute of play. After 26 minutes PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Golo Phoenix stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Daniel Zorita's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Dacian Ghițescu firmly grabbed it by the left post. After 68 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Agustín Saelices. PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's Virgil Jupân was substituted for Felix Mihăilescu. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Agustín Saelices got a free kick in the 69th minute. Primitivo Andino's late challenge caught a PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Primitivo Andino helped the player get up and apologised. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Aristide Fetea during the 73rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Virgil Jupân in the 75th minute of the match. In the 76th minute, Cristian Sancho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Golo Phoenix in the 81st minute of play. Lucian Şimonca kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. 89 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Golo Phoenix came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Virgil Jupân fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. After 95 minutes, Virgil Jupân made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Ecuador's Julio Vera tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Ecuador players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
