Bolivia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Buritama Sports the free kick. Bolivia's Camilo Freixa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Décio Quirino in the 4th minute of play. After 5 played minutes Bolivia got a freekick which was hit by Alfonso de la Cruz. Buritama Sports's Décio Quirino got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Pedro Augusto Fontes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Camilo Freixa was relentless in the 12th minute of the game. 13 minutes into the match, Décio Quirino had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Camilo Freixa. Bolivia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Décio Quirino was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alfonso de la Cruz during the 16th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Buritama Sports booed when Bolivia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alfonso de la Cruz didn't get a good kick on the ball. 19 minutes into the match, Bolivia's goal looked a bit too open when Pedro Augusto Fontes came free, but Camilo Freixa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Buritama Sports booed when Bolivia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alfredo Ferrant didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 32 played minutes Buritama Sports got a freekick which was hit by André Luís Salgado. Décio Quirino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Camilo Freixa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Mario Fernandino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 44th minute, Eduardo Fontirroig hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 45 minutes into the game, Buritama Sports's Décio Quirino nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Camilo Freixa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Pedro Augusto Fontes stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Alfonso de la Cruz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfredo Ferrant in the 52nd minute of play forced Buritama Sports's goalkeeper Gilberto Paraense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Benito Madrid's late challenge caught a Buritama Sports's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Benito Madrid helped the player get up and apologised. In the 71st match minute, Buritama Sports was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by André Luís Salgado to maneuver through the defense. Bolivia's Mario Fernandino couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Buritama Sports. After a defensive mix-up in Bolivia's zone, Dedê Britto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Camilo Freixa came out of the goal and Dedê Britto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Décio Quirino in the 83rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Camilo Freixa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The crowd rose to their feet as Buritama Sports's Dedê Britto slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Camilo Freixa. That made the score 0-3 after 93 minutes of play.
