Buritama Sports's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Haiti the free kick. A collision led to Buritama Sports getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. José Pedro Tróia hit a great ball. Haiti's Noel Seide played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedro Augusto Fontes in the 23rd minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jean Claude Ulysse during the 24th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Noel Seide showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pedro Augusto Fontes, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Buritama Sports's Gilberto Paraense played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonathan Alphonse in the 29th minute of play. Buritama Sports's Gilberto Paraense proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save Buritama Sports from getting a goal against them. Jean Marie Alcius was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 32 minutes into the match. In the 32nd minute, one of Haiti:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Haiti. Noel Seide had in the 35thth minute some difficulties stopping Dedé Camargo's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Noel Seide showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Décio Quirino in the 36th minute of the match. Dedê Britto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dedê Britto struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Noel Seide didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Buritama Sports. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Pedro Augusto Fontes stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Noel Seide showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Décio Quirino, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Pedro Augusto Fontes took the ball and in the 60 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Noel Seide. Noel Seide dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. 70 minutes into the match, Haiti's goal looked a bit too open when Décio Quirino came free, but Noel Seide reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Haiti's attentive Ernso Constant managed to snatch the ball when José Pedro Tróia made a throw-in in the 72nd minute of the game. Gilberto Paraense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Philippe Ambroise in the 75th minute of play. 76 minutes into the match, Buritama Sports's Pedro Augusto Fontes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Noel Seide narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Haiti's attentive Jean Claude Ulysse managed to snatch the ball when André Luís Salgado made a throw-in in the 79th minute of the game. The supporters of Haiti booed when Buritama Sports was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. André Luiz Penha didn't get a good kick on the ball. 86 minutes into the match, Haiti's goal looked a bit too open when Dedê Britto came free, but Noel Seide reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 90 minutes, Décio Quirino took a quick shot and it went in 0-3 without a chance for Noel Seide to make any attempt to save it. Pedro Augusto Fontes took the ball and in the 95 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Noel Seide. Noel Seide dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4.
