Yorrick Hekman received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Rolando Noboa came out and tried to block the shot, but Yorrick Hekman slotted it home off the left post making it 1-5 in the 97th minute. Elpidio Intxixu kicked well hit freekick during the 100th minute of the match. Chants of Golden Generation echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Peru had held the ball for most of the match.
