In the 96th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Luis Andino during the 97th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 97th minute, Luis Andino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the final whistle sounded Ecuador left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Djurgårdens IF.
