Emilian Onișoru's late challenge caught a USA's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Emilian Onișoru helped the player get up and apologised. After 10 played minutes CLAYMORE COUNTRY got a freekick which was hit by Sten Lindell. Marco Day made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gilbert Bonsaint in the 12th minute of play. 21 minutes into the match, CLAYMORE COUNTRY's goal looked a bit too open when Cassius Byrne came free, but Lucas Maciel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Anthony Eadie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 25th minute of the match, Jacob May got a very nice opportunity to score, but Lucas Maciel was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Marco Day showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anísio Azevedo in the 26th minute of the match. After some careless play in the USA defense, Gilbert Bonsaint kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marco Day. The USA fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marco Day should have stopped the shot. After having played for 33 minutes, Washington Arantes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CLAYMORE COUNTRY's supporters crossed their fingers, but Washington Arantes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 34 minutes into the match, Washington Arantes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marco Day. USA's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Washington Arantes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Monty Rogers in the 38th minute of play forced CLAYMORE COUNTRY's goalkeeper Lucas Maciel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lucas Maciel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Monty Rogers, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Monty Rogers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 47 minutes into the match, Edward Mcdonald dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Lucas Maciel, 1-2. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Anthony Eadie hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Lucas Maciel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Monty Rogers in the 54th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Anísio Azevedo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marco Day was relentless in the 57th minute of the game. Washington Arantes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marco Day having to interfere. After 71 played minutes CLAYMORE COUNTRY got a freekick which was hit by Dusty Amireau. USA's Sam Campbell was substituted for Cassius Byrne. In the 72nd minute, Dusty Amireau hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gilbert Bonsaint received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Marco Day tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. USA made a substitution. Marco Baker replaced Edward Mcdonald.
