Juan Benavides took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Zheko Kraychev kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Felix Montes got a free kick in the 28th minute. Julio Vera acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 29th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Giancarlo Mora. With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Humberto Escobar tried to sneak it across the goal line. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Martín Ulloa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 47 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ecuador's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Juan Benavides in the 50th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Juan Benavides came out of the goal in the 52nd minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Luis Andino. But to his dismay, Luis Andino quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 54th minute, Felix Montes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice moves Daniel Zorita could shoot a difficult shot in the 61st minute, which Juan Benavides however easily saved by the left post. Juan Benavides was out of position in the 61 minute of play, and Daniel Zorita capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Daniel Zorita really showed his touch with that goal: 0-2. After a defensive mix-up in ►Las Mercedes F.C◄'s zone, Cristian Sancho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Juan Benavides came out of the goal and Cristian Sancho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Humberto Escobar in the 67th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 71st minute Humberto Escobar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 73 minutes into the match, ►Las Mercedes F.C◄'s goalkeeper Juan Benavides had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita.
