After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Patricio Costa got a free kick in the 39th minute. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them. Roderick van Boxel's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Jonathan Ferrant firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 47th minute, Tomas Illescas sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Breguete FC's Jailson Soares didn't even have to move. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Eugênio de Carvalho stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eugênio de Carvalho, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Attila Iványi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal in the 72nd minute to try and stop a shot by Breguete FC's Eugênio de Carvalho. But to his dismay, Eugênio de Carvalho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. If Attila Iványi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. Jonathan Ferrant didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Eugênio de Carvalho went, in the 82nd minute, to the upper right corner, 4-1 was the resulting score. The audience was convinced that Roderick van Boxel's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Ferrant was relentless in the 85th minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Roderick van Boxel in the 85th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Ferrant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Breguete FC had played much better football throughout.
