Venezuela's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave 9 de Diciembre the free kick. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-5 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Venezuela's Salvador Gisbert managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Rogelio Ruisko in the 53 minute of the game. Tomasz Huchro might have been able to make a better finish in the 55th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jonathan Ferrant. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tomasz Huchro ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 57th minute of the game Rogelio Ruisko made a throw-in which Cayetano Maties played forward. 59 minutes into the match, 9 de Diciembre's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Illescas came free, but Amadeo Carrizo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 63 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Tomasz Huchro came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomasz Huchro in the 66th minute of play. The supporters of 9 de Diciembre booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alex Chicote didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tomasz Huchro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With his leg Jonathan Ferrant managed to avoid a goal in the 95thth minute, when 9 de Diciembre's Tomasz Huchro fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 9 de Diciembre's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
