Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Yasin Saleh, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Roi Morales hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. After 25 minutes Plaza Babys CF's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Ecuador's Daniel Zorita to fire away a dangerous shot which Abelardo Macías despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Agustín Saelices received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Abelardo Macías tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Daniel Zorita to make the kick off. Abelardo Macías showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luis Andino, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Through an outstanding action, after 77 minutes, Abelardo Macías successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 78 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Bo Kristiansson came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bo Kristiansson in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. Abelardo Macías was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Camilo Gisbert kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. After having played for 91 minutes, Yasin Saleh managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Plaza Babys CF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Yasin Saleh was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bo Kristiansson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
