An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 11th minute of play forced LEBRON's goalkeeper Yin Chuan Feng to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Yin Chuan Feng showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 18th minute of the match. 20 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Epifanio Harkaitz. A nice corner shot did that Arnaldo Santxol got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Julio Vera quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Epifanio Harkaitz in the 52nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind.
