CORINTHIANS's Ronaldo Barral proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 3rd minute of the match, managed to save CORINTHIANS from getting a goal against them. Ricardo Zorita didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when CORINTHIANS's Wilson Veiga shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-1 in the ordered_time% minute. Ronaldo Barral made a fantastic save in the 15th minute, when Abram Luque sent off a good shot on target. In the 21st match minute, El Salvador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abram Luque to maneuver through the defense. 29 minutes in the game Basílio Mangueira did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Artur Bueno. Abram Luque could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Ronaldo Barral made a huge save. In the 35th minute, Erasmo Ramos left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The CORINTHIANS fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. El Salvador's Jorge Magrina managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Hudson de Toledo in the 40 minute of the game. Ricardo Zorita showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wilson Veiga, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. After a rather tough play, El Salvador's Marco Tamayo got a free kick in the 42nd minute. After 44 played minutes, CORINTHIANS's Hudson de Toledo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ricardo Zorita came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in CORINTHIANS reached it.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Wilson Veiga made a kick off. Moises Fernandino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Ronaldo Barral tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 54 played minutes CORINTHIANS got a freekick which was hit by Urtsín Dumont. Moises Fernandino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ronaldo Barral having to interfere. When Adalberto Passos came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the CORINTHIANS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adalberto Passos couldn't finish the play. In the 59th of the match, Adalberto Passos tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Ricardo Zorita got in the way and made a wonderful save. 60 minutes into the game, Wilson Veiga recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ricardo Zorita. Wilson Veiga showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-4. 64 minutes into the match, El Salvador's goal looked a bit too open when Adalberto Passos came free, but Ricardo Zorita reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ricardo Zorita made a fantastic save in the 65th minute, when Wilson Veiga sent off a good shot on target. A nice corner shot did that Adalberto Passos got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Ricardo Zorita quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Moises Fernandino managed to get in a good position for a shot. El Salvador's supporters rose to their feet, but Moises Fernandino was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ronaldo Barral breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. CORINTHIANS's Caio Paiva was substituted for Artur Bueno. CORINTHIANS's Rui Borges was substituted for Erasmo Ramos. A collision led to CORINTHIANS getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Urtsín Dumont hit a great ball. In the 77th minute, Marco Tamayo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. El Salvador's Ricardo Zorita proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save El Salvador from getting a goal against them. In the 83rd minute Moises Fernandino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ronaldo Barral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pedrão Berger hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. In the 90th minute, Mateo Leguizamo sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and CORINTHIANS's Ronaldo Barral didn't even have to move. Moises Fernandino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ronaldo Barral having to interfere. The El Salvador supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching CORINTHIANS's performance. The match ended with a win for CORINTHIANS.
