The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Hortêncio Nogueira stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 50th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but 齐磊银 saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 83rd minute of the match, Daniel Zorita got a very nice opportunity to score, but 齐磊银 was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. A well-hit corner resulted in Cristian Sancho heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Camilo Gisbert made in the 86th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Luis Andino immediately put the ball in play. 87 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Hortêncio Nogueira came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Felix Montenegro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 88th minute of the match, but 齐磊银 made a huge save. If Agustín Saelices had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
