Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 24th minute after Rondinone F.C - FDFDF's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. The corner ended in Daniel Zorita almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Rondinone F.C - FDFDF's Nicolas Cardozo did a great save. The supporters of Rondinone F.C - FDFDF booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristian Sancho didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nicolas Cardozo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felix Montenegro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 39 minutes, Daniel Zorita mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ecuador and the Rondinone F.C - FDFDF players grew even worse after the yellow card.
