Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Wilton Vale kicked off to start the match. TAQUARI FC's Rodolfo Salgado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 8th minute of play. 11 minutes into the game, TAQUARI FC's Wilton Vale nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dante Lacasa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Rodolfo Salgado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Gaona in the 15th minute of play. In the 17th play minute Wilton Vale came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Dante Lacasa. 2-0. In the 21st minute Mexico were awarded a corner. Joel Gaona went to the cornerflag to take it. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lautaro Mancebo in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rodolfo Salgado saved TAQUARI FC from getting behind. Lautaro Mancebo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rodolfo Salgado having to interfere. In the 29th minute of the match Mexico got a corner. TAQUARI FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Joel Gaona ran over to the corner to take the kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wilton Vale in the 30th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rodolfo Salgado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lautaro Mancebo in the 39th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Joel Gaona was the one to do the kick off. Rodolfo Salgado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 56th minute of the match. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wilton Vale, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. Rodolfo Salgado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Tafalla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Wilton Vale might have been able to make a better finish in the 78th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dante Lacasa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Wilton Vale ran back to his position shaking his head. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wilton Vale in the 78th minute of the match. A collision led to TAQUARI FC getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Chupan Doar hit a great ball. Alberto Tafalla might have been able to make a better finish in the 90th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rodolfo Salgado. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alberto Tafalla ran back to his position shaking his head. When Alberto Tafalla came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Mexico fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alberto Tafalla couldn't finish the play. After 94 played minutes Mexico got a freekick which was hit by Facundo Cadaval. Many of Mexico's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Mexico may have spent more time on the ball, but TAQUARI FC were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
