In the 33rd minute Sebastian Villa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Isidoro Frutos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The wind increased when Zeledon Oso made the kick off in the second half. Jeronimo Mikelats got a throw-in 57 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Zeledon Oso. Christian Sancho's late challenge caught a Argentino de Merlo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Christian Sancho helped the player get up and apologised. In the 89th match minute, Honduras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Christian Sancho to maneuver through the defense. Basilio Urtun hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. In the 94th minute of the match Edmundo Espiga sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Isidoro Frutos skillfully saved the ball. Edmundo Espiga struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Isidoro Frutos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Honduras. When the match was over Honduras could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Argentino de Merlo throughout the match.
