Lautaro Navarro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paco Everett in the 5th minute of the match. Bath Boyce made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edmundo Espiga in the 6th minute of play. Edmundo Espiga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bath Boyce having to interfere. Honduras's Edmundo Espiga got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Lautaro Navarro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paco Everett, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 14 minutes, Kris Pearse managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Boroondara Milan's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kris Pearse was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Boroondara Milan's Bath Boyce played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edmundo Espiga in the 16th minute of play. Bath Boyce stood somewhat misplaced when Edmundo Espiga came free in front of goal and shot 2-2 to the left of him in the 64 minute.
