Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Naohiro Takahara kicked off to start the match. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 2nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Agustín Rossi having to interfere. Luis Andino scored 0-1 in the 5th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Agustín Rossi, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 8 minutes into the game, Daniel Zorita cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Agustín Rossi was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Silvestre Cisco could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. After 12 minutes Ecuador's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Silvestre Cisco who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Silvestre Cisco almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Ecuador's Julio Vera did a great save. The referee felt a red card was in order, 16 minutes into the game, when Rodrigo Palacio put in a rough tackle. 15 minutes into the game, one of Frontera AFC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. 19 minutes into the match, Frontera AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Luis Andino came free, but Agustín Rossi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 20 minutes Frontera AFC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Ecuador's Daniel Zorita to fire away a dangerous shot which Agustín Rossi despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Agustín Rossi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 22nd minute of play. Alan Varela hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. When Ecuador's Cristian Sancho in the 26th minute got a chance for a shot 26th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Frontera AFC's goalie prevented a goal. 28 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alan Varela. When Ecuador's Felix Montenegro in the 33rd minute got a chance for a shot 33rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Frontera AFC's goalie prevented a goal. After 34 played minutes Frontera AFC got a freekick which was hit by Alan Varela. Agustín Rossi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felix Montenegro in the 38th minute of play. After 46 played minutes Frontera AFC got a freekick which was hit by Marcos Rojo. Daniel Zorita, 47 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After the first half Ecuador were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Daniel Zorita stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Agustín Saelices in the 54th minute of play forced Frontera AFC's goalkeeper Agustín Rossi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Agustín Rossi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 59th minute of the match. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Silvestre Cisco in the 60th minute of play. In the 65th minute, Marcos Rojo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Agustín Rossi was a little too slow when Luis Andino got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 68th minute. The score was now 0-3. In the 76th match minute, Frontera AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Martin Lain to maneuver through the defense. In the 80th minute, Silvestre Cisco ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Julio Vera was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. Felix Montenegro's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Agustín Rossi firmly grabbed it by the left post. After 86 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Agustín Saelices. With a little luck, Frontera AFC's Agustín Rossi got control of the ball when Cristian Sancho tried to sneak it across the goal line. Agustín Rossi was a little too slow when Cristian Sancho got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 95th minute. The score was now 1-4.
