The audience thought a goal was coming when Francisco Seco got free with Inácio Marquez in the 7th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Arturo Carvallo fell near the penalty area in the 11th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Uruguay's protests and gave Arturo Carvallo a yellow card for diving instead. In a very dangerous position, a player in Uruguay fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 11th minute. Penalty! The audience was convinced that Andres D'Alessandro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Joaquin Gayoso was relentless in the 15th minute of the game. When the match had gone on for 18 minutes, Andres D'Alessandro put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Joaquin Gayoso. Francisco Seco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Inácio Marquez made an important save on a dangerous shot by Maximiliano Escribano in the 25th minute. After having played for 26 minutes, Maximiliano Escribano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Uruguay's supporters crossed their fingers, but Maximiliano Escribano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Dinamo Colorado booed when Uruguay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jaime Cazalla didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Maximiliano Escribano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 35th match minute, Dinamo Colorado was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ruben Paz to maneuver through the defense. Inácio Marquez came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by Uruguay's Francisco Seco. But to his dismay, Francisco Seco quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Francisco Seco scored 2-1 in the 42nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Inácio Marquez, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A throw-in in the 45th minute of the game was made by Jaime Cazalla with Francisco Seco as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. In the 47th minute, Francisco Seco ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Inácio Marquez was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

Dinamo Colorado's Inácio Marquez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maximiliano Escribano in the 53rd minute of play. Rafa Teixeira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joaquin Gayoso having to interfere. Dinamo Colorado's Agnaldo Mazza was substituted for Fabiano de Godoi. Andres D'Alessandro made in the 60th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Júlio Pontes immediately put the ball in play. Alberto Gisbert took the ball and in the 65 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Inácio Marquez. Inácio Marquez dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. After having played for 69 minutes, Francisco Seco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Uruguay's supporters crossed their fingers, but Francisco Seco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 70 minutes into the game, Júlio Pontes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Dinamo Colorado's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Uruguay the free kick. Júlio Pontes kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Francisco Seco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Inácio Marquez having to interfere. In the 75thth minute of the game Francisco Seco who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Dinamo Colorado's Inácio Marquez was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maximiliano Escribano in the 76th minute of play forced Dinamo Colorado's goalkeeper Inácio Marquez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 76 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Uruguay's Maximiliano Escribano fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. Dinamo Colorado made a substitution. Kauan Martins replaced Júlio Pontes. With 83 minutes on the clock, Kauan Martins commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Dinamo Colorado fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 82nd minute. Penalty! 89 minutes into the match, Maximiliano Escribano notched a goal, 6-1, to the right of Dinamo Colorado's Inácio Marquez. Inácio Marquez was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After having played for 92 minutes, Alberto Gisbert managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Uruguay's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alberto Gisbert was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 95 minutes, Francisco Seco made it 7-1 with a short kick to the right side. Dinamo Colorado's Inácio Marquez tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Inácio Marquez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Francisco Seco, who was totally free with the ball in the 100th minute. When the referee ended the match the Uruguay players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
