Jeronimo Mikelats made in the 7th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Zeledon Oso however managed to control. In the 11thth minute of the game Atilano Salomone who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Isidoro Frutos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Francisco Seco, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. After 17 played minutes Argentino de Merlo got a freekick which was hit by Zeledon Oso. Alberto Gisbert's late challenge caught a Argentino de Merlo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
