Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Albert Rutledge kicked off to start the match. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Albert Rutledge in the 7th minute of play. When Tomas Illescas came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the Venezuela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Illescas couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Guillermo Mariano hit a great ball. LA VIOLA's Albert Rutledge suffered a fractured collar bone after 16 minutes and couldn't finish the game. 16 minutes into the game, Camilo Gaos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Venezuela's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave LA VIOLA the free kick. In the 16th minute, one of Venezuela:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Venezuela. When the match had been going on for 19 minutes, LA VIOLA's Svante Bäckman got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Jonathan Ferrant. After having played for 23 minutes, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Venezuela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomas Illescas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patricio Costa in the 29th minute of play forced LA VIOLA's goalkeeper Felix Martinsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tomas Illescas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 32nd match minute, LA VIOLA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Isak Ahlbeck to maneuver through the defense. Isak Ahlbeck made in the 34th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Venezuela's Salvador Gisbert. Camilo Gaos hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sune Dahlberg in the 39th minute of the match. Tage Löfgren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 42nd minute of the match, Tage Löfgren tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Jonathan Ferrant saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After a rather tough play, LA VIOLA's Isak Ahlbeck got a free kick in the 45th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tomas Illescas made a kick off. In the 52ndth minute of the game Tage Löfgren who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 54 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Osvald Uter came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tage Löfgren took the ball and in the 58 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. 71 minutes into the match, LA VIOLA's goalkeeper Felix Martinsson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tomas Illescas. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Guillermo Mariano during the 72nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Tomas Illescas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Felix Martinsson having to make a save. In the 76th minute, Jens-Ove Abrahamsson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 78 played minutes LA VIOLA got a freekick which was hit by Isak Ahlbeck. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tage Löfgren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 95th minute, Venezuela's Patricio Costa ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Felix Martinsson. Felix Martinsson yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. Venezuela's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
