Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. In the 27thth minute of the game Bernardino Ipar who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Martin Alexa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 28th minute of play. 30 minutes into the match, TAXI-MM-'s goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Martin Alexa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 36th minute Robert Baita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A well-hit corner resulted in Antonio Arias heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Juan Sebastián Puig got a free kick in the 46th minute. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Cristian Sancho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Ecuador booed when TAXI-MM- was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Costel Vasilescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Daniel Zorita kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Robert Baita hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in TAXI-MM-'s zone, Daniel Zorita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Martin Alexa came out of the goal and Daniel Zorita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some careless play in the TAXI-MM- defense, Daniel Zorita kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Martin Alexa. The TAXI-MM- fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Martin Alexa should have stopped the shot. Martin Alexa made a fantastic save in the 80th minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Ecuador booed when TAXI-MM- was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ivan Cristescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yuan Di Xing in the 83rd minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
