The crowd rose to their feet as Akademia Maliqi's Alexandru Nastac slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jonathan Ferrant. That made the score 4-1 after 28 minutes of play. 32 minutes into the match, Alexandru Nastac had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alexandru Nastac was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-1. 34 minutes into the game, Akademia Maliqi's Paulin Balliu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonathan Ferrant made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-1. Venezuela's defense didn't have a chance, in the 38th minute, when Olsi Berberi scored to the left of an out of position Jonathan Ferrant, making the score, 7-1. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 7-1.
A hard shot 51 in the game by Tomas Illescas from a close distance when the talented Timoteo Lucero managed to make a qualified save. Akademia Maliqi's players were relieved. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Rigoberto Mina got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Akademia Maliqi's Ivón Echavarri suffered a concussion after 53 minutes and had to leave the field. 53 minutes into the game, Alex Chicote was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Venezuela's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Akademia Maliqi the free kick. Jonathan Ferrant didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Merdin Meksi went, in the 67th minute, to the upper right corner, 8-1 was the resulting score. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Akademia Maliqi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teobald Chrobak didn't get a good kick on the ball.
