Rigoberto Chus made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eliseo Mina in the 31st minute of play. In the 43rd minute Epifanio Oliverio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

With a little luck, Cero Descensos F.C.'s Rigoberto Chus got control of the ball when Julian Murillo tried to sneak it across the goal line. 56 minutes into the match, Julian Murillo dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Rigoberto Chus, 2-3. 61 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Epifanio Oliverio came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Rafael Gallo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Rigoberto Chus tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Peru's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
