Moises Gayoso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Simon Högberg having to interfere. In the 11th minute of the match Luz Tejedor shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Simon Högberg showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Rolando Noboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Izydor Roman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Wit Malewicz charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Wit Malewicz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 17th match minute, Wicher Wilchwy Come Back was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wit Malewicz to maneuver through the defense. Simon Högberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Julian Murillo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Simon Högberg read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Izydor Roman in the 42nd minute of play. Wicher Wilchwy Come Back's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Jiang Fan Yun in the 44th minute. Wicher Wilchwy Come Back's Jiang Fan Yun was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Rolando Noboa in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After having played for 46 minutes, Eliseo Mina managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Peru's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eliseo Mina was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Julian Murillo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A throw-in in the 50th minute of the game was made by Wit Malewicz with Rolando Ekaitz as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. In the 53rd minute, Milagros Fraga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 55 played minutes Peru got a freekick which was hit by Moises Gayoso. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eliseo Mina in the 60th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Simon Högberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Julian Murillo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 64 minutes into the match, Wicher Wilchwy Come Back's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Simon Högberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 65th minute of the match, Luz Tejedor got a very nice opportunity to score, but Simon Högberg was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. The audience was convinced that Julian Murillo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Simon Högberg was relentless in the 70th minute of the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Julian Murillo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Peru's supporters rose to their feet, but Julian Murillo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Simon Högberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Wicher Wilchwy Come Back made a substitution. Leszek Ankiewicz replaced Tomasz Dziura. In the 74th minute Czeslaw Dubilas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wicher Wilchwy Come Back's Simon Högberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 77th minute of play. Wit Malewicz hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. Rafael Gallo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Simon Högberg made a huge save. In the 95th minute, Leszek Ankiewicz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Wicher Wilchwy Come Back fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2.
