In the 12th minute, Martynas Timinskas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dante Lacasa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Martynas Timinskas in the 16th minute. Alberto Tafalla took the ball and in the 18 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ian Sissons. Ian Sissons dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Alberto Tafalla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mexico's Dante Lacasa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Mexico from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Plaistow United booed when Mexico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luca Rouco didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alf Key sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Mexico's Dante Lacasa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save Mexico from getting a goal against them. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alf Key in the 34th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alf Key in the 36th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Joel Gaona in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ian Sissons saved Plaistow United from getting behind. Oliver Parkinson kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. Joel Gaona took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 40th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ian Sissons. Plaistow United's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Martynas Timinskas might have been able to make a better finish in the 41st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dante Lacasa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Martynas Timinskas ran back to his position shaking his head. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alf Key in the 44th minute of play. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alf Key, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Joel Gaona stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jools Farrow during the 50th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Jools Farrow kicked well hit freekick during the 50th minute of the match. Luca Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice moves Lautaro Mancebo could shoot a difficult shot in the 53rd minute, which Ian Sissons however easily saved by the left post. Ian Sissons didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Joel Gaona went, in the 61st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. In the 66th minute, Alberto Tafalla ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ian Sissons was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. Ian Sissons took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Gaona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Martynas Timinskas in the 73rd minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alf Key in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dante Lacasa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Alf Key spun around in front of the goal 78 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Mexico's goal. A collision led to Plaistow United getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Brynn McMahon hit a great ball. Felix Luque was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 87 minutes into the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 87th minute of the game. One of Mexico:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Plaistow United:s goal. Dante Lacasa had in the 89thth minute some difficulties stopping Brynn McMahon's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Alf Key fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dante Lacasa having to interfere. With a little luck, Plaistow United's Ian Sissons got control of the ball when Lautaro Mancebo tried to sneak it across the goal line. 97 minutes into the match, Martynas Timinskas had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dante Lacasa. Mexico's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Martynas Timinskas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-4. The Mexico players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
